Letters, Legends, and the Legacy of Mozart
You're about to step into the mind of one of history’s greatest composers. As the lights dim, prepare to experience Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart not just as a name in a music textbook, but as a living, breathing force… bold, brilliant, and wildly human.

This production is more than a concert. It's a theatrical journey that fuses powerful storytelling with the soaring sound of live orchestra and choir. Over 130 voices from the Greater Moncton Chorale, including the adult chorus and Voices Rising Youth Singers, are joined by the incredible Tutta Musica Orchestra, made up of the Teaching Artists and staff of Sistema New Brunswick, under the baton of Maestro César Suárez.

At the heart of this performance is Mozart’s Requiem, the hauntingly beautiful work he began as he faced his own mortality. Woven between the musical moments is a compelling narrative, crafted from the composer’s own letters, that paints a portrait of Mozart in all his contradictions: a genius, a rebel, and a man who never asked permission to be extraordinary.

Scripted by JB Vanier, Artistic Director of Hub City Theatre, the story comes to life through contemporary language and dynamic performances by a cast of local actors. Whether you're here for the Saturday evening performance in the historic acoustics of Saint-Thomas Church or the modern theatrical setting of the Riverview Arts Centre, you’re in for something unforgettable.

This marks the first fully original production between the Greater Moncton Chorale and Tutta Musica Orchestra—a celebration of music, imagination, and collaboration.

We hope you enjoy the show as much as we do performing it!

ABOUT TUTTA MUSICA ORCHESTRA
Tutta Musica Orchestra is New Brunswick’s newest professional orchestra and consists of sixty musicians who are the Teaching Artists and staff of Sistema NB.
Tutta Musica offers something that has not existed in New Brunswick until now as our musicians have a mission of transformative social change through the daily instruction of classical music to over 1,200 youth across the province.
From solo acts to full orchestra, we collaborate with artists across many genres to make live orchestral music more accessible, more engaging, and more relevant to more communities throughout New Brunswick
Our Connection with Sistema NB
In New Brunswick, the intertwining of performance and education is a key strategy for artists to sustain their careers. This is exemplified by Sistema NB, which stands as the largest employer of musicians in Atlantic Canada with 58 Teaching Artists on its team.
These artists both perform in theprofessional Tutta Musica Orchestra and teach at various levels: they instruct in local children’s orchestras under Sistema NB, participate in regional youth orchestras in Moncton, Saint John, and Miramichi, and are involved with the provincial youth orchestra, NBYO.
